As we close out November and look towards the end of the year, we want to celebrate our communities and the amazing work they have done raising funds and awareness for Alzheimer’s disease.

Pacifica Senior Living partners with the Alzheimer’s Association every year, hosting fundraisers, charity events, and educational seminars and talks in order to raise awareness about dementia and memory loss conditions.

As the fifth largest memory care provider in the nation, we take a keen interest in Memory Care and memory loss conditions, and continue to do what we can to bring more awareness to these diseases and the impact they can have both on individuals and their families.

As November is Alzheimer's Disease Awareness Month, this is a particularly busy time of year for Pacifica communities in terms of fundraisers and events. So many of our communities across the country participated in Alzheimer's Association related activities this year, and we want to celebrate their amazing work, effort and spirit - as well as the generosity of those who gave to such a great cause.

This year, Pacifica Senior Living as a whole raised $67,435 in support of the Alzheimer’s Association. From countless events like Walk to End ALZ, dementia talks, and fundraising events from bake sales to farmers markets and everything in between, we are so proud of the dedication and passion shown by our Pacifica teams and our residents.

Having exceeded our set goal of $50,000, we ranked among the top 30 National Teams supporting the Alzheimer’s Association. We are also proud to have earned the team longevity award, for supporting and donating to the Alzheimer’s Association for over five years.

A huge thank you goes out to the team at Pacifica Senior Living Paradise Valley for being our top fundraisers with over $40,000 of donations. Shout outs also go to our runner up communities Pacifica Senior Living Northridge, Pacifica Senior Living Bakersfield, and Pacifica Senior Living Oceanside for raising over $4,000, $3,500 and $3,000 dollars, respectively, and the rest of our top ten teams: The Park Lane, Pacifica Senior Living Hillsborough, Pacifica Senior Living Santa Clarita, Pacifica Senior Living Forest Trace, Pacifica Senior Living Lynnwood, and Pacifica Senior Living Belleair

Over six million Americans live with Alzheimer's disease,  and more than 11 million caregivers support individuals with Alzheimer’s or dementia. The time, effort, donations and recognition given by all our communities, participants and donors is extremely appreciated, and we are proud of our team for the amazing work they have done and continue to do in partnership with the Alzheimer’s Association.

We are continually striving to better understand and support those with Alzheimer's, as well as expand our Memory Care programs and services.
