As we come to the closing of another year, we want to take the time to reflect on everything that has happened in 2022. It has been another wonderful year for Pacifica Senior Living, and so many of our residents, family members, staff and team members have made it special.
From countless activities, community events, and holiday parties, to fundraising efforts, volunteer programs, educational seminars and awards, our communities have been going above and beyond this year.
2022 brought several exciting milestones. Our communities were honored with several national prestigious awards, including Caring.com's Senior Living Superstars of 2022 and A Place for Mom's Best of Senior Living 2022. We were also recognized by Argentum as the 5th Largest Memory Care provider, 10th Largest Assisted Living provider, 13th Largest Overall Care provider, and 21st Largest provider of Assisted Living in the United States.
Pacifica Senior Living also raised over $67,000 dollars for the Alzheimer’s Association through various fundraisers, charity events, and walks this year. Our commitment to Memory Care education, Alzheimer’s care and research, and giving back to our communities is at the heart of what we do, and we are overjoyed to have surpassed our $50,000 target for 2022.
We also continued our pledge to Go Green, and have implemented ongoing upgrades, environmentally friendly programs, and sustainable power options in the majority of our communities across the country. Whether it is through solar panels, recycling programs, Earth Day initiatives, or energy-reducing utilities, we are constantly working towards a greener, better future.
Our culinary team and dining programs have also been doing amazing things this past year. We hosted our first ever Annual Culinary Competition in which chefs and culinary directors from each community had the opportunity to compete for the best dish. Our chefs continue to impress with their outstanding meals, creativity, and tasty dishes.
We are proud of Pacifica Senior Living’s continued growth. Several new properties will be welcomed into the family in early 2023, and we have been growing throughout 2022 as well. Each new community is an exciting chance to expand, grow, and share the care and passion of Pacifica Senior Living with others.
We want to share our deepest thanks to everyone that has made this year an amazing one. From our corporate office to our teams across each community, without you, we would not be where we are today. Your hard work, dedication, and passion for what you do does not go unnoticed, and as we look back on this year, it is each of you that makes Pacifica Senior Living such a special place to live, work, and connect with one another.
