This also means we highlight procedural memories - things like muscle memory, long term memory, and early associations - to help our residents feel at ease despite the sometimes confusing stages of memory loss.
It is important to us that we offer a positive, caring, and compassionate home for seniors to be at peace and be engaged. By offering various modified activities we are able to provide our residents with stimulation and enjoyment, even when their memory may not be what it used to be. Relaxing hand massages, modified games like color bingo, guess that sound, and matching games are great ways for our beloved Memory Care residents to stay active without causing any unneeded stress, frustration or confusion.
