This month, we want to celebrate the amazing Carline from Pacifica Senior Living Rancho Penasquitos. Carline is a wonderful asset to both her team and the Pacifica family as a whole. Over the years she has worked her way up in the company, and become an integral part of her communities.
Carline is a hard working, dedicated, and compassionate Executive Director who knows the value of determination and teamwork. We asked her a few questions about her experience, why she loves working for Pacifica, and what advice she might give to others.
A: I have worked for 8 years at Pacifica Senior Living Escondido, and been at Rancho Penasquitos since December 2021. I have had the opportunity to grow with Pacifica over the years and had roles in Caregiving, was a Med Tech, worked in Activities and became a Community Relations Director. At Rancho Penasquitos I am now the Executive Director.
Q: What is your favorite part about being part of the Pacifica team?
A: My favorite thing about working at Pacifica is getting to know all the residents and their families - you really form strong bonds with people within your community. Similarly, I really enjoy getting to know and connecting with my team.
Q: What is your team like at Rancho Penasquitos?
A: My Team at Rancho Penasquitos is amazing. Since the very first day I came into my community everyone was so welcoming, and made me feel right at home in one of Pacifica’s newest acquisitions. I also have a wonderful support team in other Pacifica Regionals and together we are always working to be the best we can be.
Q: What are you most proud of so far in your career with Pacifica?
A: I am so proud of becoming the Executive Director of Rancho Penasquitos. It has been an amazing journey to reach his goal, and the path along the way was what brought me here. Pacifica Senior Living has allowed me to grow and better myself. Working here has helped me reach my goal of becoming an Executive Director for a Pacifica community, but all of my time in various roles along the way gave me the experience and skills I needed to get where I am now.
Q: What is one fun fact you can tell us about yourself?
A: I love football! Sunday Fundays are some of my favorite times to relax and have fun.
Q: What else do you do for fun outside of work?
A: My favorite thing is spending time with my family, including my 4 amazing granddaughters
Q: Lastly, what is one piece of advice you would give to your younger self or someone looking to follow in your career path?
A: Don’t ever give up on what you want to achieve. Sometimes the harder and longer it takes to reach your goal, the more you will appreciate it when you finally get there. I know I did!
