Patriot Day at Pacifica Senior Living

Oct 11, 2021 11:10:03 AM / by Pacifica Senior Living

September 11th marks national Patriot Day, and we at Pacifica Senior Living want to take the time to reflect and extend our gratitude to Patriots and their families.

Patriot Day honors and remembers heroes and workers who lost their lives rescuing civilians during the attacks on the World Trade Center on September 11th 2001, a date that lives forever in American history, and in our hearts.
Many heroes or those closely effected by the events of the September 11th tragedy have called Pacifica Senior Living home. And today we take the extra time to pay tribute to them, and others who risked it all in the aftermath of the attacks. We honor their bravery in the face of disaster, and remember the sacrifices of the fallen heroes who gave everything to help others during one of the most tragic moments in American history.

Many of our communities across America have set aside time today to remember, reflect, and give thanks to the heroes – both survivors and the fallen – of September 11th, and to express our gratitude for the freedoms we have here in America. It is important to always remember our history, and never forget those that have given their lives for others. Through thoughtful reflection and patriotic gestures we observer Patriot Day at many of our Pacifica Living communities.

Connecting together and spending time is an important part of our program, and holidays like this are a great way for our residents and families to connect with one another and share stories and experiences. Community is at the heart of Pacifica, and Patriot day is a time to acknowledge the love and care strangers had for their neighbors, community and fellow Americans in a time of great need.
