Griffith Observatory
One of the biggest attractions in Los Angeles is the Griffith Observatory. The observatory is located on the south facing side of Mount Hollywood and offers an impressive view of downtown Los Angeles and Hollywood. Visitors can enjoy exhibits, look through telescopes, experience the planetarium, and learn about the cosmos. -
Dolby Theatre
The Dolby Theatre is also located in Hollywood, and is a live-performance auditorium. It is best known for hosting the annual Academy Awards ceremony, but also hosts a number of other live theatre and televised performances. While not hosting an event, visitors can tour the venue and take in the impressive stage and its history. -
Planes of Fame Air Museum
The planes of Fame Air Museum is located in Chino, California, just outside of L.A. The museum hosts various aircraft, including both actively flying and stationary craft. The museum was created to preserve historically important aircraft, and many of these planes are on display at the Chino location. Chino Airport, where the museum is located, was also once the home of the Army Air Corps facility Cal-Aero Academy which trained over 10,000 pilots prior to WWII. Visitors can learn the history while taking in the impressive aircrafts from years past. -

Marina Del Rey

Downtown Oxnard

Mandalay State Beach
Mandalay State Beach is located in the town of Oxnard, and is a State owned and protected beach area. The region features wetlands, coastal dunes, and gorgeous sand beaches. The beach is open to the public throughout most of the year, but does contain some protected areas. The region is popular for protected species the Western Snowy Plovers, and the beach closes during nesting season. -
Point Mugu Missile Park
Located in the Point Mugu Naval Air Station is Ventura County, Pt. Mugu Missile Park is home to various missiles and aircraft that were tested at the Naval Air station. These are arranged in an open air park for easy access, and visitors can enjoy seeing the missiles and craft up close and personal. This free attraction is a great way to take in an impressive piece of history. -
Ventura Botanical Gardens and Serra Cross
The Ventura Botanical gardens is a 107 acre site with impressive views of the California coast, downtown Ventura and the Channel Islands. The gardens contain some 30,000 plants in five different climate zones. Within the gardens sits the Serra Cross, located on the top of a hulk overlooking the Ventura stands. It is thought that the cross was first erected as early as 1782 during the founding of Mission san Buenaventura. -
Waypoint Cafe
There are so many great restaurants, eateries, bistros and cafes in the Los Angeles Area. Whether you are looking for Michelin star dining, celebrity chef inspired cuisine, or something a little more casual, there is something for every taste and budget. The Waypoint cafe has quickly become a popular destination for both its food and its quirk style. The cafe is located in the Cabrillo Airport, and offers views of incoming and outgoing airplanes while you dine. -
Lake Mission Viejo
Lake Mission Viejo is a reservoir created for recreation in Mission Viejo, Orange County, California. The lake is visually impressive, and contains two beaches, a picnic area, boating, fishing, and water recreation. The area also hosts a number of seasonal events and festivals which draw visitors each year.
