This March 8th is International Women’s Day and we want to take a moment to highlight some of the amazing women residents at Pacifica Senior Living and Meridian Communities. As we celebrate Women's Day, we want to share the accomplishments, stories, careers, and lives of the women of Pacifica. Each of these women has a unique and inspiring story that can be a light to others forging their own path.

Celebrating the Lunar New Year #YearOfTheTiger
Jan 31, 2022 2:05:58 PM / by Pacifica Senior Living posted in Holidays
Pacifica Senior Living is celebrating the Lunar New Year: The Year of the Tiger which falls on February 5th, this year.
Participate in exciting festivities and experience the traditional Lunar New Year traditions celebrated by different nationalities across Asia. We invite you to participate and enjoy our special Lunar New Year celebrations, as we welcome the Year of the Tiger!
The Lunar New Year festival is a popular public holiday in countries such as Vietnam, China, Korea, and Japan. Throughout Asia, the festival attracts millions of visitors each year who take part in social celebrations and festivities, bursting with typical Chinese cultural performances and activities that are linked to local tradition.
Chinese astrology assigns meaning to each year, in line with each year’s symbolic animal. Some people belong to the year of the tiger, such as those born in 1952, 1964, 1976, 1988, and 2000. Those born in the year of the Tiger are said to be fierce and unpredictable during competition. In 2022, we are celebrating this Tiger spirit, as we see what the next 365 days hold.
Celebrate the Chinese New Year with a traditional slice of the popular pineapple cake. Deliciously moist, this rich pineapple cake is filled with a tangy pineapple cream cheese frosting and then topped with lightly toasted macadamia nuts, creating an irresistible indulgence.
The New Year is an exceptionally joyful time, and Pacifica is the perfect place to celebrate the Chinese New Year and usher in the New Year of the Tiger. From our festive menu items to our Lunar New Year-inspired decor, you'll be transported to another realm of appreciation, participation, and fulfillment as you reign in the #YearOfTheTiger with Pacifica Senior Living.
